I have just started my pet business, and I am trying to find more places to advertise, I've already hit websites like craigslist, pet-sitters.biz, and dog geek, however I would like some more websites or any other ways to get my pet sitting business known. If you have any ideas please post them here, your replies will be greatly appreciated!

  1. I totally agree with the above post, if you get a no try the I'll cut you in for a percentage of sale or contract term. These sites are free resources that have a nice pet sections.

  2. Lookcube (http://www.lookcube.com) is a brand new free local classifieds website that you could use.

It's quick and easy to post, so it would take no time at all to do. Right now everyone who posts on Lookcube between now and May 31 is entered into a contest to win $100.

    Good luck with your business!

  3. Advertise your business on free classifieds, relevant forums and social networking websites. Monitor the response you get periodically to find out what works best. From http://ad5.info

  4. Motivation is the driving force in our lives. It comes from desire to success. Without success there in a little pride in life; no enjoyment or excitement at work and at home. Life becomes like a lopsided wheel giving a bumpy ride.

The greatest enemy of motivation is compliancy. Complacency leads to lack of effort, and when people are complacent leads to lack of effort, and when people are complacent they don’t grow because they can’t identify what is needed in their lives.

  5. Talk to local pet store owners and see if they will let you post your information up in their stores. Obviously, go to stores that do not do boarding since they will not let you. Offline marketing is also useful. You could head to local parks, and local dog parks and chat people up. I was going to suggest giving out dog biscuits, but I don't know if I'd let my pets eat anything from a stranger.

I don't know what your budget is, but there are several websites that sell pet friendly promotional products that you could put your company name and website on. This way, you will be giving potential customers something tangible that they can use for their pets. Whenver they use it, they'll see your information. I added a couple cute options in my sources.

The most important thing is to really get to where the pets are, like dog parks. If people see that you are constantly around animals and are good with them, you can build relationships with the owners. And they'll tell they're friends :)
