What are some good ways to earn college scholarships if your grades are only average?

I make good grades, not great. I am not in the top 10% of my class (although, I am close). My dream is to attend UCLA but the expense is overwhelming especially since I would have to pay out of state tution. I am not even positive I could get accepted but if I could I don't want money to stand in the way! Help!

You can always get federal need-based aid. Other than that, though, you can get scholarships for other things. Are you good at sports? Can you play an instrument well? Are you extremely artistic? Can you write well? Some colleges give scholarships for community service, others for leadership, etc.

There are tons of things to get scholarships for. Explore the options you have by contacting the school or looking online. :]
