Watch peoples houses/dogs/kids when they are away. You could also do some yard work for people or clean up their houses.

well i do commercial carpet cleaning...usually on any given saturday or sunday is where i'll have a really big job to do. it can take as little as 4 hours with  helpers to clean 20000 sq ft...if the helpers keep their heads down and keep working and all the equipment is running smooth(and a few other factors; access etc.) naturally these jobs pay pretty good so i'm not opposed to skip the hourly thing and pay a percentage instead. i'd say that there must be other contractors such as myself, who are looking for people like you. with a little hunting around you should be able to find one and you'll be working by next weekend. find  good solid connections and network around...you may even become self-employed yourself.....uh...leave the cans to someone with less ambition...you might be putting them out of a job. happy hunting!

Cutting people's lawns for $5 or so, is neat, and then the people will recommend you to fellow neighbors and friends.

Also, selling some of your old belongings that you don't want/need anymore is good, you can have a garage sale, yard sale or just put ads in papers.

Helping people with odd jobs, like gardening, painting or you can try walking peoples dog(s).

Besides the basic dog walking, babysitting, and mowing lawns there is another way to make money. Look on the website for the National Institutes of Health and look for studies for healthy people. Most studies don't take a long time to do and they will pay you for each time you come in. There are a lot of studies to do for people, you just have to find them.
