What are some good ways to practice dribbling for basketball?

I need to work on my dribbling and I don't know any ways how I could. I am a weakling and I need to learn some daily routines and excercises to help me with my dribbling and also buff me up a bit. I dont have any weights though. Thanks for the help!

  1. Gain control of the ball by spreading your fingers over it's top.

    Begin the dribble by pushing the ball firmly to the floor. Use your hand and wrist to control the height and speed of the bounce.

    Keep your hand on top of the ball so that it rebounds accurately, and keep the bounce height to waist level. Try to keep the ball from hitting the palm of your hand. Feel the ball with your fingers and let your wrists do the work.

    Move forward on the balls of your feet and bend your knees to maintain your balance!

    Always look up the floor to be aware of the exact positions of your teammates and other defenders.


  2. try dribbling with your eyes closed. for real.

  3. Remember to try and look up (not down at the ball), its gonna be dificult at first but keep trying. And practice on both hands, it makes crossovers way more easier
