  1. you need to run run run run and run.

atleast everyday or if you cant everyday 3-4 times a week you need to be running. I run 2 miles alomost everyday and workout and it works for me. work on your dribbling and technical skills. try to touch teh ball everyday. get your abs ready and set a time aside to you can do crunches or leglifts to get your abs firm and ready. basically you need to eat well and condition. I played for DC United girls team and my schools team is #1 in the WCAC  in the country. I know what im talking about so just do what I said and you should be ready.

  2. One very important aspect you have to work on is not your skills, but it's your speed and stamina. so you better start doing that again. you can improve your speed by just running a lot for long periods of time, that will get you more endurable at running too do a lot of biking, which gets your feet stronger, meaning you can run faster. Swimming and lifting weight dramatically improves stamina, so do that. Once you get stronger and faster, you can now work on your skills. first: ball control. You can set up cones on a field and try to run around them with a ball as fast as you can. You'll notice the more you'll do it, the faster you'll be able to do it and that means you can control the ball better already. Then work on your passes and shoots accuracy and power. just set up a target that's far away from you and try to hit it. with a lot of training, you'll get better. now, dribbling skills, the best thing you can do to improve is just play actual games.

    Good Luck!!!

  3. condition condition condition. I can't emphasize that enough. You need to be ready for whatever they can't pitch out at tryouts. My season starts in the spring as well and im already starting to gradually condition. Start small, jog just around the block, then build from there. Work on your skills as well, but i would say conditioning is much more important. Its easier during the season to work on your skills, rather than trying to get into shape, and not bieng able to keep up with everyone else.

Hope this helps and good luck :]
