What are some good ways to raise money at a minimal cost?

So the story is, me and a mate wanna do the kokoda Trail in June next year, and we need to raise 3 and a half grand to go. My parents will probably pay 1 thousand but I don't know how to save up the rest.

sausage sizzle!!! easy,all you need is a bbq sausages an onions an sauce an bread an butter an you are away!!!!! bout 10dollars for a big bag of sausages an you can sell heaps at 1dollar each!!! and you can set up anywhere???like games,markets,town centres,anywhere!!!!! goodluck

Well if you are in internet, they you can make some good amount of money fast. For this you need to invest your time and knowledge.

why don't you make budget for your self so you know what your income and expense and work out how much you need save (since you know when you want to go and you need 2.5K so you and your mate can work out how much you guys have to save each week) and start saving that way and you can ask your mate to do the same.

if you need more money to save then you and your mate can do part time/second job or something to generate more income.

good on yah what a great trip to do

i suggest working extra is you have paid employment

or getting a casual job and working as much as you can

also get anything together you can and have a garage sale

enlist the help of your friends and rellies with this,

whatever they can give you to sell

also do a sausage sizzle at the garage sale with coffee and this will up your dollars cheers hope you get the cash together for the trip

Brainstorm some ideas,yourself. Or you could offer to do gardening stuff around your area, like mowing, trimming trees and hedges, generally tiding up around peoples gardens. Everyone loves having a good looking garden (and gardener) but they dislike having to do the work. Also offer to do small house hold stuff like painting window frames, checking for broken tiles on the roof andwhile your up there clean their gutters out for them and sell the leaves back to them as mulch.
