  1. Jump Rope, Squats, and just plain Jumping (try using weights when you jump). Works for me.

  2. the summer between the 9th and 10th grade my buddies and I rode our bicycles everywhere. I live in the mountains of Virginia. I was stubborn and would not push my bike up the hills I would ride. My calf muscles would be burning so bad. When that summer started I cold touch about half way up the net on a b-ball goal. When I went back to school my friends were amazed I was able to put my hand about 4-5 inches over the rim. I was only 5foot 11. I kept riding my bike and by the time I was a senior at 6 feet tall. I could take two steps and put my elbow on the rim. When I say I rode my bike I would intentionally go to the largest and steepest hills and pedal to the top. It worked for me. Even though I know have a still plate in my knee, and I no longer ride my bike, and I am 31 years old. I can still dunk a basketball.
