What are some good ways to relax

I'm a very panicky person, and I need to simmer down.

What are some ways I can do this?

  3. Warm up some hot chocolate and sit and watch TV. Ahhh...

  4. Deep breathing exercises are one of the best things you can do to relax. In the morning and before bed, breath in through the nose and out the mouth as deep as you can for about 5-10 minutes. It works wonders.

    Also, listening to music you enjoy, journaling, practicing gratitude, looking through old pictures, exercising, watching a funny movie/show on television, and playing with clay are all good ways to relax.

    Meditation-- the best thing you can do.

    Kava tea -- it's known for it's relaxation properties and is used in the East as our equivalent of alcohol. Only this has no such negative effects and it leaves you with a clear mind. It's amazing! I recomment Yogi Tea - Kava Stress Relief!

    Bubble bath.

    Relaxing music.

    Deep breathing exercises.

    Going for a walk.

    Writing or typing out whatever is bothering you.. sort of like keeping a journal of your thoughts.. it's a great way to clear your mind!

    Indulging everyday in some YOU time.. Make it quiet and calm.. turn off all distractions.. tv, phone, radio.. what-have you. Maybe just leave on some really relaxing meditation music. Light candles and incenses. Just lay down with your eyes closed and focus on your breathing.. relax and relieve every muscle in your body.. just feel all the healing air traveling through your body.. relax all your face muscles.. just lay and be.. and allow yourself to drift off.

    After a while of that you will feel calm and rejuvenated. It really works! :)

    I use to be very panicky too.. But I've learned to meditate and to take things slowly.. day by day. Everything is easier to solve and deal with when you have a clear and steady mind.

    Do drink that tea though, trust me, it works miracles!

    2) Take a warm bath

    3) Put on relaxing music

    4) Have your house looking nice so that when you walk in the door you feel good instead of being visually assaulted by clutter

    5) Go to a spa...they have them for men and women. Get a massage

    6) Go to the gym and just work out until you feel mellow

    7) Find a relaxing hobby. I know this sounds weird but I like to color. Yeah, I am an adult woman and I have crayons and coloring books, SO WHAT? It relaxes me. Find out what relaxes you.

    8) Do something. If you are panicky maybe it's because you aren't tired yet. Find something to do. Do it until you get tired.

    9) Make a list of suggestions of things to do if you are stressed.

    10) Have running water nearby. Get a small fountain or a sound machine and listen to the sound. Flowing water has a very relaxing effect.
