I want to eventually start training in Muay Thai, but I dont have the money to pay for classes at a gym yet so I was wondering on ways I can condition myself so by the time I do have the money and I start training I won't be killing myself in the workouts. I'm not looking for ways to train in Muay Thai by myself but ways to condition myself for the training so I won't be lagging in the workouts.

  1. The only thing you will do by training yourself is to develop bad habits.  You need someone with experience to show you how it is done and how to move correctly.  Martial arts are not the type of pasttime that can be learned from a book or teaching yourself.

  2. ask the next asian guy you see walking down the street

  3. Seek to still the unrest in your soul ad develop the ways of Peace and Harmony rather than seeking ways to bring harm to your spirit and others.

  4. Hi get a broome pole and roll up and down on shins

pratice keeping wrists straght on impact

twisting hips just stand shoulder lengh apart and twist top half of body

so shoulder ends up pointing straight ahead  but keep bottom half

facing forward  eventually you will be able to build up power

    centrivical  force @>

  5. I would do leg stretching EVERYDAY. Also Push ups EVERYDAY start from low reps to eventually do 500, or 1000 per a day. Now, you do not need to be able to do 500 at once, but spread like 50 in the am, 50 more later morning, and total at the end of the day should be 500. But again, start like 100 total per a day .... Also would do at least once a week or twice a week sprint kind of cardio work out.

  6. Go find a big banana tree and kick it 1000 times each day. That's how they train for Muay Thai in Thailand.

  7. stretch

    squats

    push ups

    pull ups

    chin ups

    dips

    crunches

    soccer is excellent

    and stretch.

Just get as froggy as you can... it's all good.

    Did I mention to stretch?

  8. Cardio..

    Find what you enjoy...

You need to do a combination of cardio and strength training..

Light wieght high reps.. even arobics or dancing,,, if that's what you enjoy..

Get a heavy bag ,, water filled...practice light hand punches to develop muscle memory and stamina.

Make sure you use wraps and gloves..

You have to enjoy it to keep it up..

    Find what works for you...

    Good luck
