  1. Wrightslaw for legal issues-other than than, it really depends on the child's disability.  My son has Aspergers' and the websites I visit are Tony Attwood, autism society, etc.  Good reliable sites are best.  I do always give the caveat that anyone can start a website, so there is a lot of kooky information out there.  Be a smart consumer of information.

    Good luck.

  2. The first one that comes to mind for me is Wrightslaw.com  This website has a newsletter that you can sign up for. It contains valuable information regarding special education law, rights, and how to navigate the system as well as IEP's and assessments.  #1 on the list in my opinion.

LDonline.org is a good one for learning disabilities.

iVillage.com has message boards for specific disabilities. You can connect with other parents going through similar issues.  Yahoo Groups also has similar boards.

  3. I'm a school psyc student and I have a list of websites to hand to parents when I diagnoses their child for each disability.  The whole list is too long to list could you tell me what disability you are specifically looking at and I'll copy the ones I have for that?

  4. Cafemom check it out for inspiring and info is there and also other peoples experiences.

    www.cafemom.com
