try raonsims.com, peggyzone.com and thesimsresource.com is really good (raon and tsr are sign up websites but u dont have to pay for a lot of it), some part of these websites includes free items.  xmsims.com and simsinparis are also good websites =)

You may need to sign up for it, you benefit so much with signing up because you pretty much get ALL free custom content. More than the other website where you need to pay for content made by other people. http://www.modthesims2.com is a good website, probably the best free custom content website on the Internet.
