  1. Simple does not mean easy.

You will want goals relating to weight management, diet and nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and life style management.

The norms relating to ideal weight are readily available.

The familiar food chart is a very good start on diet and nutrition. The basics: 4 large portions of vegetables, (cooked and raw), two of fruit, complex non-allergenic carbohydrates (e.g. brown rice, buckwheat), fish high in omega three oils, low intake of meat and dairy. Eliminate simple carbohydrates (sugar, cakes and cookies, sodas).

Exercise: half hour of vigorous aerobic exercise 4x a week. Weight bearing exercise 3x a week.

Stress reduction. Daily practice of meditation, contemplation or prayer; yoga stretching.

Life style management. Good grooming and attractive dress, physical exam once a year, medications as needed for chronic conditions (e.g. high blood pressure), weekly review of life goals in all major areas (work, finances, home, social life, hobbies, charity, etc), and weekly plan for following week, daily to-do list from weekly plan, active social life including family members and friends.

Words are cheap. These goals are all simple. Excellent authoritative information is available about all of them.

But they are not easy, because they require habit change. This can almost never be done alone. Workers will need peer self-help groujps or counseling and follow up with appropriate proefessionals or your results will be very disappointing.
