What are some good women's snow boots?

Let me explain that I'm going to spending the holidays in Chicago next year. I'm looking now because winter gear is on sale at my usual shopping haunts, which does include Cabela's. I live in the South and have never thought about selecting quality snow boots. The last time I was up there in the winter time I bought the cheapest snow boots imaginable (I think I got them at K-Mart!)and of course I ended up with cold, wet feet. Let me add too, I have a medical condition and take a medication that causes cold feet, so I absolutely must have good DRY boots for the trip. I am willing to spend a pretty penny on this, since I do have family there and will be using the boots every few years to visit. Any suggestions?

  1. Being from PA, living in WI, and working in Northern MN, I recommend a pair of Sorel  about $90.00 should last a life time with care.

Remember when it comes to cold weather boots --- go for warmth and skip fashion sense.

  2. LL Bean makes the best boots available. I bought my husband a pair ($99 before Christmas) and he loves them.

They have the best return and guarantee policy. Check them out.

  3. I just bought some that are easy to slip on and off. They come up to your ankles but are very warm and I love 'em. They cost about $65. You can find them online, maybe even less expensive

Made by KHOMBU. The style is slushiikh. They have a leather  upper and a rubber sole, and very well insulated, with great treads for traction.

I just looked online and the name of this boot is : SNOWBIRD

Check them out, and good luck!

  4. I actually need a pair this year. I'm getting the snow runner boots from Cabela's. They can withstand very low temperatures and are water resistant.

Cabela's also have a great return policy also if you don't have a store nearby and aren't exactly sure of your size!

  5. try  www.muckbootsonline.com or uggs are cute

  6. Try woodland - ladies gear - as i used the same while i was in germany and really helped me.

  7. Totes makes waterproof, furlined boots that aren't top of fashion, but aren't bad looking.  That's what I use when it's really wet or snowy.  (Have a good time!)

Edit:  Just looked up to see the other answers.  I'd go with mine if you want to spend less.  If you want to spend more, I'd go with the person above me who said L. L. Bean.
