What are some good xbox 360 games?

Question

I might be getting one next week with my own money. after that i only have enough money to get two games. i'll be getting halo 3 for sure but idk about the 2nd game. theirs a lot to choose. heres are my options and opinions about each game

gta4-heard it was a great game but im not really sure that i'll like it

soul caliber-another great game but after i beat story mode is their really much to do, cause im looking for a game that will last for a while

call of duty 4-might be my best options, since i like shooting games

bioshock or gears of war-never played either but heard they were great

civilization revolution-nevr played any game in the series but it sure looks fun and i like strategy games

madden 09-like football but played madden too much ovr my friends house, not sure this one will be fun

those are the games on my mind, plz help me choose, and if u have another game in mind thats not on the list plz recommend.

Trust me u will be waisting ur money if u get halo 3 it is way overrated get call of duty 4 (best game ever made in my opinion) and gta4 although i wouldnt strongly recomend getting cod4 if u dont have xbox live

I suggest you pick one of the following, by order of preference

FPS: COD4, Bioshock, Halo 3

Fighting: Virtua Fighter 5, Soul Calibur 4

Sports: Skate, Forza 2

call of duty 4 or 5...

ive played on it...its soooooooooooo hard if your new to a shooter game but when you get used to it its quite fun

gta is good when you just get bored and you can kill ppl for the fun of it

so probably just them 3

bioshock and gears of war are very good games, but i would recommend getting mass effect as i cannot stop playing it :)

try splinter cell if your into stealth as well, although a new one is coming out...

or guitar hero if your into rock, just might have to do a bit more saving

i have to agree with the above comment, DO NOT GET HALO 3..its rubbish.

If i had a choice of only 2 games;

bioshock, mass effect, lost oddessy, GTA IV.

Also, 2 great games comming out soon.... Star Wars: Force Unleashed & Fable 2.

Id be tempted to get GTA IV which would keep me busy for a few weeks and then get Star Wars: Force Unleashed

Bioshock and Gears of War are both sure bets.  Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 are both good online.  Madden is, well, Madden.  If you've played one, you've played them all.
