I will be attending the London College of Fashion this fall and I am trying to research the different areas of the city. I want something not too far from my school. An artsy type neighborhood near shopping and restaurants. I will be sharing with 2 other friends and we are looking for something around 350 pounds per week.

  1. I'm afraid Carina is correct.  London is one of the most expensive cities in the world and you won't get a 3 bedroom flat for £350 a week; £350 a week will get you a 1 bedroom flat at the most and even then that won't be near the centre of the city (where the College is) or in a particularly desirable area, such as the one you describe (I'm a lawyer and I can't afford to live anywhere like that!).

If I were you I'd look on www.gumtree.co.uk and have a look at the sort of properties that are available in different price ranges.  That'll give you a better and more realistic outlook on your situation and you can go from there.

  2. an artsy areas with shops and restaurants is where we'd all like to live ... so a 3 bed place is going to cost you an awful lot more than £350 a week
