What are some great Indian dishes for a man who is more used to cheeseburgers?

I want to take my husband to this Indian restaurant called Rasika,are there any entrees suitable for my situation?

Play a trick on him, take him there...replace their standard menu with something more to his style....like

1. Cheeseburger

2. Double Cheeseburger

3. Triple Cheeseburger

If you really wanted to get tricky, you could also have him select such delicacies such as lettuce, tomato, and ketchup.

After he orders, and thinks he's getting the same stuff he eats daily, have his REAL order...pre-ordered, and they can bring him some quality tasting food.

There is a dish called Kofta, it is a meatball like dish, served in a variety of sauce, the samosa made with either beef or chicken.

Aloo Gobi and dish made with potatos and cauliflower, rice is always a good idea. A first time adventure to an Indian restaurant can be a bit of a challenge, but try things that are compatable to what you normally eat, desserts like there version of rice pudding called Kehir is nice.

I'd say, start out with some samosas (fried potato dumplings), then get an order of Tandori Chicken. Order one curry dish, rice and plain or garlic naan.

An exotic curry as a side dish with foods that will seem more "normal" to him will probably be the most effective way to ease him into trying Indian cuisine.

I suggest the lamb tikka kebabs or lamb based curries (rogan josh).  Most Indian restaurants usually dont serve beef or pork.  It's seafood, chicken and lamb.

If he likes lamb, try the tandoori or grilled lamb kebabs (shammi kebab, seekh kebab, tikka kebabs....).  Kheema is a spiced ground meat dish, if available definitely try it.
