What are some great gifts for bridesmaids?

my sister is getting married in a couple of months and wants to create "swag bags" for all of her 7 bridesmaids. what are some cute things she could put in them? her limit is $2000 a bag. any ideas? please help. thanks.

Wow! $2000 a bag is a LOT. Like, you can do so much with that!

I gave my bridesmaids all different sets of turquoise jewelry that they wore in the wedding. So that is a thought, using whatever type of jewelry she would prefer them to wear. Also, how about some personalized track suits or teeshirts saying their names and saying that they are the maid of honor and the rest are bridesmaids?

Maybe a gift card for a spa treatment, some skin-appropriate makeup and clinique facial cleanser.

Something she must include, and I did this too, is a note for each woman that the bride wrote herself talking about why she chose each girl to be in her wedding and why she loves her!!

Gee how things have changed? $2000 is a lot to spend on 7 bridesmaids - your sister must have heaps of money -either that our her future husband has - it used to be that a bridesmaid got given a nice necklet or necklace - usually a pendant on a chain or similar to  match their outfits

Why not go simple and do just that - if she still wants to spend that amount on each, make it a really special piece to commemorate the occasion

As I have stated to others asking similar questions - its not how much you spend on the wedding day that makes it special - its the little touches and also the commitment put into the marriage.

I do hope that your sister is doing likewise to guarantee a happy marriage with her intended and if so may she live a long and happy marriage

Your sister is crazy! Nothing spells "I'm materialistic, I want you to be materialistic and I really don't value you as a friend." like spending that much money on someone. If she is going to throw away that much money, her money would be best spent by shopping individually with each attendant. Getting the standard same jewelry as the others or something that doesn't show any effort is crazy. MAKE everyonet-shirt(tank top), tank tops are on sale, JoAnn Fabrics sells the rhinestone words and it would mean more to the girls knowing that the bride, THEIR FRIEND, took the time to MAKE them something.

"Things Remembered" is a good website store that sells and engraves gifts for you. It has alot of different ideas for wedding gifts. When engraving something, it makes it more personal and nice! And they will remember the date of the wedding always! $2000 is alot of money to spend on each bridesmaid. It's just a thought to say THANK YOU! Whatever they get, they will appreciate it. The best gifts are wedding day gifts because they already spent money on the dress but you spent enough money too.But if you want them to wear the same, then get them the same items to be worn on WEDDING DAY! Something they can use like : earrings or necklace to be worn on the day of wedding that way everyone is wearing the same. That's what I did for my bridesmaids. A purse for the wedding day! A gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure that they can use for the wedding. Perfume is always nice. The color lipstick that you want them to wear for wedding day. If you want them to all wear the same shoes:a gift certificate to Payless shoes.( they dye your shoes the color of the dress.) or pick out a style shoe that can be wore anytime.(Black goes with everything.) A THANK YOU card was a good idea saying why you chose them to walk in your wedding and just for sharing your special day with you. If they are getting their hair done, a gift certificate to a hair salon for the day of the wedding is a good gift.Maybe everyone can go together and if you have hair piece or something to wear in their hair, you can buy them that. That way everyone has same hairdo.(not one person up, one down, one braided.etc.) Specify how you want their hair!So if you pay for hair salon, they have too.JUST a idea! Because the day of my wedding, I got them a hair piece comb to wear in their hair and some of the girls complained and didn't wear them and I told them to wear their hair up and some didn't. I WAS SO MAD! I wanted everyone to look the same but my cousin wanted to be different and did the opposite of what I told her.

I would pick something fun that fits their personalities, hobbies and interests and is suited to each individual person. Jewelry for example is not something I would want to receive or give because it is not *for* the bridesmaid. It is to look unified in the bride's pcitures and often is something that doesn't even fit the bridesmaids' tastes that they would ever wear again.
