What are some great ideas for community service or fund raising?

I'm the president of Phi Theta Kappa which is the international honor society for two-year colleges, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I can raise money for the American Cancer Society or even just some community service ideas?

Contact your local Cemetery and see if they need volunteers to put out flags for Memorial day. Last year our Unit placed over 700 flags in one cemetery.

Remember your Veterans, without us things would be vastly different.

What are you interested in? Thats the best way to start. If you enjoy reading, help out at a library. If you like sports, coach a team of little kids. If you are good with computers, teach senior citizens how to use them.

You will enjoy it more, and be more productive if you have a good time.

A month ago I tried this program called Fundraising2u.com they sell these unique fundraising cards for internet discounts. Margins are pretty good and I think it will be a good place to start. check them out.
