Go to Guadalajara. Spend a few days there and take a bus to San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco (which is 1.5 hours away from Guadalajara). And spend 3 days in San Juan.  -- my family is from San Juan de los Lagos. If you want to see any pictures, let me know!! --- email me: [e-mail]

You'll like it. Don't go in August. It's very rainy. See if you go sometime in May, June or July. Dry, warm weather.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco is also beautiful. It's more traditional than Cancun. Cancun is very city like and you don't want that.

Yucatan Peninsula is a great place to visit. You'll have a chance to see the old pyramid ruins.

Guanajuato, Guanajuato is also beautiful. Guanajuato looks like an old European city. You can even visit the old mummys museum. it's fun. It's a gorgeous city!

tlaltenango, zacatecas because it's very beautiful place. it has a 4 star hotel. it has plaza. it's fun to go in december because there is carnival and it is fun
