1. At my shower for my son we played a great game that everyone loved..You put a bunch of baby objects on name tags and put them in a hat..example: baba..crib..formula..and so on..As all the guests come into the party they pick a name tag and put it on..For the rest of the shower everyone had to call them by whatever was on the name tag..If they messed up and called them by their real name they had to put 10 cents into babys first piggy bank..I loved it and so did my guests! Hope this helps..

  2. We just did my sisters baby shower last sunday...her centerpieces were called Diaper cakes. and basically you use essential items for babies to make them heres a link http://www.diapercakewalk.com/ or http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Diaper-Cak... of course mommy would keep

We also played a game that everyone gets a pacifier necklace (buy little pacifiers from a party store and put them on string or ribbon) and whenever someone says BABY the person who catches them gets their necklace. whoever gets the most by the end of the shower wins a prize.

Also, everyone was asked to bring a package of diapers (any size) and whoever did puts their name in a bag (we used a Piggy bank shaped as a bottle) and we drew 4 names and they got prizes.

Another game we did was whos birthday was closet to the babys due date

another fun game we did...someone goes around with a ball of yarn and everyone measures out a piece that they think would fit around mommy and her belly. but they just have to look and guesstimate. then you measure from belly button all the way around back to belly button and take that string around and measure everyones and whoevers is closest gets a prize.

Since the centerpieces mommy keeps we gave each guest a candle and we put ribbon with pink and brown cuz that the theme my sister chose and put a poem heres a site with some cute poems http://www.perkydesigns.com/baby_shower_...

  3. Children's section at http://www.viewposters.com There are many posters fit for a baby's room. Take a look at decorative art category: http://www.viewposters.com/posters/art/d...

  4. For my shower we did the following:

    1. Each guest gets a small tub of Play-Doh (from the dollar store) and has to make a baby out of it. Then the babies are put on paper plates with their names on the bottom and displayed on a table. The mom to be picks the best one and that person gets a prize. It was fun because people really got into it. Some were really good and others were very creative. One even showed the birthing process with the head coming out. Very graphic but really funny.

    2. We got a back of diapers and each guest had to write something funny or advice on the outside of the diaper. Then they are all put back in the bag and the new parents aren't supposed to read them until they are putting the diaper on the baby. Then they can see what everyone wrote. We found that the marker didn't stick to the diaper so we stuck packaging labels on the diapers and people wrote on those. I loved reading the diapers.

For prizes we had gift cards to local stores or restaurants. We put the gift cards in newborn diapers and put them in a basket. Then people who won could pick which one they wanted.

  5. We played the name the baby food game, thats always alot of fun...we had a how fast can you change a diaper game, we had a baby stroller race around the church.we played who could drink out of a bottle the fastest.

I believe for decorations they did everything in blue and pink...and had lots of baby bottles.

For food it was bring your favorite home food dish....so we ended up with mac and cheese, meatloaf, veggie soup......then we had baby like food....small weines, small cookies ect.....

  7. You can try something creative with the baby's photos (or any other such photos). You can find more such ideas at http://www.paintyourlife.com

They make all types of personalized and unique portraits on oil, pencil, charcoal or on canvas.

They also do wonderful photo-printing on canvas in different designs. Please take a look at http://www.photo-print-on-canvas.com for more information.

  8. You can get baby pictures of family members and of the mommy and daddy to be, and show them as slides.

You can play games like "Pin the diaper on the baby", you can have a race, partner everyone up, and have one person feed baby food to the other person, and the first one to finish their jar wins. You can have a race for the fathers, who can put the diaper on the doll the fastest.

There are a lot of websites that have games for baby showers, just use your search engine and i'm sure you will come up with a lot of games.
