I'm heading up to Sydney next month for World Youth Day and want to know what activities I can do (besides the bridge and the opera house)?

  1. I spent a month in Australia with a group for a college courseand had the time of my life!

In Sydney: hit up The Rocks area, it's fabulous and has great views of the harbour. Take in the sights from higher up and do the Syndey Harbour Bridge Climb...kinda spendy but worth every penny.  Also take the ferry to Manly beach, it has some great walking paths as well! Visit Toranga Zoo to get close to some 'roos! Bondi Beach is fabulous: lots of people, sun and strong waves to play in!

Visit inland, go to Katoomba. The Blue Mountains are absolutely gorgeous. Our tour was on a cloudy, rainy day but the sights were like nothing I have ever seen! Great hiking paths, you can see forever...

The capital Canberra is ok, we did the typical sights like museums and such. Some great bars (which were harder to find in this non-party type town) are Mooseheads or the Uni Pub!

CAIRNS is GREAT! You must take a boat to the Great Barrier Reef, no words can describe. Lots of markets in Cairns, and be sure to take a ride up to Kuranda for some beautiful waterfalls and high views of the coastline.

ENJOY, I know I can't wait to go back :)

  2. Centrepoint tower in ... its right in the middle of Sydney and it gives great views of the city from around about 300metres up in the air, theres restaurants in the tower as well.. great for dinner and views of the city in the night as well as in the day for breakfast and lunch...

Star city casino is fun as well.. great food and you can catch shows there as well..

Sydney has some of the best beaches in Australia as well such as Bondi...

  3. Visit The Rocks area (sort of the 'old town') for some hstorical Sydney atmosphere - the area was built by convicts.

Also visit one of Sydney's many great beaches, Bondi is the most well-known but there are many others, a good trip is to take a harbour ferry to Manly beach - I don't think this beach itself is as good as many other Sydney beaches, but it is more about the trip. Anyway it's winter, so not beach weather.

Take a trip to the Blue Mountains if you have time. Stroll around the Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay areas in the city and have lunch overlooking the harbour. You may like to take a trip to the Hunter Valley wine region, or to Canberra, our capital city. You can visit Chinatown and Paddy's markets -  take a monorail. For a multicultural experience visit Cabramatta for 'little Vietnam' or Leichardt for 'little Italy'.

    Have fun

  4. Well there's plently to do in Sydney like Luna park, the harbour, cruises, but i would suggest going into the surrounding areas, there's pleantly of things to do there

  5. Perhaps a visit to Taronga Zoo, Symbio Wildlife Park or the Aquarium. A trip to the Blue Mountains. Leisurly drive down the coast to Kiama. Shopping. Spend the day at Darling Harbour.

  6. stop wasting tax payers money and give it to me

  7. there is an aquarium & wildlife park in darlingharbour, also in darlingharbour, there are some paddleboats for hire, you can play with that for an hour,

there is chinatown for shopping, u can try going up the centrepoint tower (you might need a booking)

there is a luna park not so far from the harbour

  8. Click this link - http://www.bridgepacific.com.au/package/...

You'll see in the top right hand corner a 'things to do' section. There's a few extra options for you to look at. After you click one of the links, you can search across a whole range of Sydney activities. Have fun!!
