I have taught for seven years as an elementary music teacher (K-4), but never had to direct our sixty member third and fourth grade choir. My school district has always had two music teachers per campus, but this year because of re-districting decide my campus only needed one teacher to do the job. Lucky me! So, I am going from behind the scenes to front and center. I mainly follow the Kodaly Concept and luckily have some great singers, but I know very little about being a choir director. I come from a band background and formerly played the Trombone. Any advice or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated, as I need all the help I can get!!! Thank you so much!
