I do shift work and so I don't really get a break for meals at my customary times.

I hope to find some healthy foods or snack foods, like popcorn, etc., that I can carry and eat at work.

  1. Granola bars

Crackers, whole wheat ones are great, try Kashi brand.

Everything under the sun seems to come in those 100 calorie packs and they are great for in between meals hunger pangs.

    Pretzels

    Beef Jerky

Nuts, particularly almonds--just make sure you don't get the dry roasted kind--too much sodium and fat in them.

One of the nut companies, I don't think it's Planters, now makes a variety mix tailored to different diets.

    Trail mix.

  3. I usually take little bags of cereal or granola with me.  Cheerios or bran flakes.  I like them dry so i don't need the milk.  You could also bring trail mix, dried fruit, veggie sticks like carrots and celery.  Whole wheat crackers are good too.

  4. if you're looking for healthy foods, just carry a sandwich or donuts...

  5. Dried fruit, cans of fruit juice, low fat whole grain crackers, small cans of tuna or salmon, 100 calorie snack packs. Also fresh bananas, apples and peanut butter, oranges.
