What are some healthy snack ideas???

we are doing some weird thing in D.T and i need to make up an original healthy snack. i need some ideas!!!

  1. Make up an assortment of veggies:

    carrot sticks

    celery sticks

    cucumber sticks

    broccoli florets

    and make some hummus(chick pea dip):

    1 can chick peas (drained and rinsed well)

    1 clove garlic

    1tsp salt

    1tsp tahini

    1tb olive oil

    1 cup cold water

    1/4tsp fresh ground pepper

    juice of 2 fresh lemons

    -mix well in a food processor or blender- should be fairly thick consistency.


  2. Low fat yogurt with walnuts

    Rice cake wafers with a teaspoon of peanut butter

    Apple slices with low fat yogurt

    Cranberry granola bar

    Any medium fruit or vegetable.

    Aim to keep portions small, no more than 150 calories per serving.  

  3. Lettuce Cups. (roll ups)

    Remove several whole leaves, from a crisp Iceberg Lettuce

    Add to each cup:-

    Sliced Celery, Cucumber, Egg & Tomato.

    Asparagus spears.

    Grated Carrot & Cheese

    Smoked Fish Flaked

    Season to taste and roll up. Secure with cocktail sticks if desired.
