over the summer i started eating healthier and loosing some weight and i want to maintain my weight, but everyone at school doesn't bring their lunch, they buy chips and soda out of the snack machine. i don't want to buy snacks (because they are unhealthy and the price adds up!) so i've been bringing bottled water and special K protein plus because it has 10 grams of protein and a lot of fiber and only 2 grams of sugar, but I am starting to get tired of it and am looking for other suggestions for snack type lunches that have lots of protein and low sugar. (i don't have a way to refrigerate or microwave anything, and i eat a good breakfast, so a small lunch is okay)

  1. The kashi granola bars are so good, you must try them.  Also the fiber one bars are really good, and they are very satisfying.  Why not have some fruit and veggies to munch on, that would be  nice.

  2. Salad, Water, Fruit, Vegetables

  3. kashi has lots and lots of stuff that would be good for you to eat also you could bring dry ceral........and fruit along with the other stuff is a good idea..........oh and good job on eating healthy keep it up!!

  4. Hm, well I would bring a small apple or something with you.

You need those carbs and natural sugars through-out the day.

I would also get those '100 calarie snack bags'

they come in "cheetos, chips, cookies, crackers, fishies, kellogs cearal snack bites, rice crispys, and more! "

I hope this helps.. there all only 100 calaries ( the snack bags, and there's way more, goto you're local supermarket)

OR, you can eat a chocolate peanut butter curves bar which is also ONLY 100 calaries.

    Goodluck!

  5. vitamin water...yogurt,WATERMELON lolz idk hope this sorta helped

  6. a bag of almonds and an apple is the best...

  7. I've done a couple things because food at work becomes expensive.

Some of the Kashi cereals that are high in fiber are good for you and filling. I'll buy a little carton of milk but bring my own cereal. I'd bring fruit to add to it. I've also brought macaroni and cheese that I've made at home. I've used fat free organic milk added the envelope in a Kraft box some butter spray s/p. Mac and cheese does not have to be hot. Sandwiches get boring but you can use healthier breads on the market for a non-mayo type sandwich. PBJ does not need to be refrigerated.

Small boxes of raisins, containers of apple sauce-  how about some cut up celery/carrots or red pepper? Great for snacks.
