I am trying to become healthier, but when I made some green tea, it tasted horrible. I am trying to avoid sugar and other unheathly products that I would have to use to make it taste better. Could I use things like lemon juice?

  1. Honey and lemon are two great choices. If you can't stomach green tea, try drinking another brewed tea like black tea. The taste is different and you may like it better, but the benefits are actually very similar.

  2. I feel your pain... I absolutely cannot drink tea without sugar!!!

But honey is a healthier alternative to sugar, and if you are making hot tea, it blends beautifully.

Also, I thought I would mention this product called Stevia.  It comes in liquid and powder form, although I like the liquid.  It is a health food product and comes from some type of plant / leaves. It is 10 x sweeter than sugar, so you only add a few drops, and it sweetens your cup of tea.

Also, you could try two other forms of sugar, that I understand to be a little healthier -  fructose - in a powder form, sugar from fruit.  And xylitol - it is a type of sugar alcohol, which has antibacterial properties which helps with the teeth.

    Thanks for reading!

  3. I use honey, not sure how healthy that is exactly, but it tastes really good.
