  1. O i had it not long ago

first, dont wear ANY makeup. dont put on any face mosturizer either

second, a washcloth as hot as you can stand it. put it in a plastic bag, and re-heat it as needed. dont use cold

  2. There are several types of conjunctivits including bacterial, viral and allergic.  If it's viral, there's nothing you can do at home and not much can be done at the doctor's office.  Like a cold, it has to run it's course.  If it's bacterial, it may not resolve on it's own and you may need antibiotics.  If it's allergic, it will subside when the offending allergen does.  About the only things you can do at home is keep the eye clean, wash your hands frequently and apply artificial tears for soothing purposes.  Cool compresses help some, but your best bet is to see the eye doctor.

  3. If it is bacterial pink eye no  home remedies can treat it.  You will need antibiotic ointment.

Pink eye can show up when you least expect it, and it is very contagious. There is more than one type of pink eye, and how you treat it depends on the type. If it is bacterial you need antibiotic ointment or drops. There is no particular treatment for viral pink eye. If it is an allergy that is causing your difficulty you may need anti-inflammatories or antihistamines. Frequent hand washing is crucial to prevent spreading the virus or bacteria, depending on which type you have.   There is also something called CLARE, or contact lens induced acute red eye. Sleeping in contacts makes the eye more susceptible to inflammation/infection.
