What are some homemade ways to unclog a drain?

The shower/tub in one of our bathrooms is clogged

I've tried the vinegar and baking soda method too - it not only helps to clean, it deoderizes too.  

Since it is the shower/tub drain, it is a good idea to put some hair remover (cream/foam) down there since lots of hair gets washed into it.  Give the hair remover some time to work, breaking down any hair in the pipe, before  flushing it with water.

If you can't get anything down the drain at all because it is blocked, you might have to use the dreaded plunger and scoop out the waste water that is pulled up into the bath.

Take the pop-up drain cover by removing set s***w on the side.  It will be Philips head s***w.  Use pliers, wire, or fingers to pull out hair that is blocking drain.  Replace drain cover and tighten s***w.

vinegar and baking soda, let it sit over night. theres always the trusty wire hanger if the clog is within reach.
