  1. This game will work for all ages just adjust it for your age group:

    Tropical Relay Race

Divide the group into two teams

    Equipment:

Two Grass skirts, 2 pairs of Bermuda shorts, 2 pairs of sunglasses 2 Straw Hats ,2 lei necklaces,2 Beach bags, 2 Beach chairs

Each team lines up in a row. Place chairs a reasonable running distance in front of each team or any distance your space will allow. The objects listed above are placed into the beach bags and located with each team. The first players on each team, put on ALL of the items, run to the chair, return to their team, remove the items and pass the bag to the next player. The next players continue until the entire team has

    had a turn.

  2. Serve chicken chunks with pineapple salsa or sweet and sour meatballs as an appetizer. Entrees could be a creamy seafood lasagna, tropical seafood or chicken kabobs, or pork roast barbecue. Try a coconut mango cheesecake or rum cake for dessert. Don't forget the drinks...tropical punch, pina coladas or a lime rum slush.

Limbo is always a fun luau game. Use a broom stick if you don't want to spend any cash. You can find other cool games here: http://partysupplieshut.com/luau/luau-pa...

When you throw your luau, be sure to decorate with plenty of silk flowers or you can even order leis and orchid sprays from lei vendors in Hawaii. Hawaiian music is a must for your luau. You can buy a CD or tape. To decorate your tables you can create a traditional center table runner of leaves, ferns and flowers or you can go with an ocean theme and spread an ornamental fish-net topped with shells, sand and glass balls. Another great look is a Hawaiian print sarong used as a tablecloth. Raffia hula skirts look tropical edging the buffet table. Be sure to greet your guests with a shell or flower lei and a big "Aloha" and have them leave their shoes at the door. You can also have loose flowers on hand for your guests to tuck behind their ears. If you're available romantically, put the flower behind your right ear. If you're taken, put it closest to your heart, behind your left ear.

  3. We just had a Luau party for the 4th of July. It turned out great. I made a sand cake... Sounds yummy huh? Go to allrecipes.com and type in dirt cake. The recipes are the same, but substitute chocolate pudding for vanilla and Instead of Oreo cookies use vanilla wafers. I served mine in a sand pail. Chop the wafers up in a plastic bag (My son had a blast stepping all over the cookies) and then place them in the blender...It looks just like sand and taste great too! We got most of our decerations at party city and the colorful cups from dollar tree. Have fun!

  4. Have a hula girl pinata to hit as one of the activities of your party, visit this website http://www.pinatas.com/Luau_Party_Pinata... they have everything related to luau theme party ideas, decorations and games.
