What are some ideas for me to do with my first babysitting job. The girl has asthma & the boy has a temperment

Since the mom is single and this is a small town she is paying me fifty dollars a week. Its my first job and the boy is my age but he still needs a babysitter for his temperment problem so he is the same age as me and the girl has asthma and is three years old.

ok for the girl: always have her asthma thingy with you if you are allowed out in case anything happens.

ask [and write down if you have to] what you have to do if anything goes wrong [same for the boy]

always have a phone on you with the important numbers on speed dial.

bring stuff from your house for them to use [dvds, videos, board games etc...] kids love anything new to them

i once babysat for this little girl and she loved dinosaurs. it helped to know that so i bought some of those really cheap plastic dinosaurs and she played with them so much.

what i found good to remember is that they are YOUR toys. to show her this i would take them home with me everythime i left. she then started to associate me with the dinosaurs so it was like 'our thing'.

in the same family i babysat for the boy loved pokemon card thingys and the simpsons. i got him to draw some of the simpsons and pokemons a few times and he really enjoyed it.

establish some rules [on your own or with the mom] from the first time you are there. make sure they nkow what they CAN and CAN NOT do. if they disrespect one of these rules- tell them.

i also suggest not letting the kids go on the computer/watch TV all the time. try going to the yard/park a few times. they will enjoy a change of atmosphere.

the reason you shouldnt let then do electronics all the time is because it will make them agitated and grumpy. they will also not be able to enjoy summer and you.
