I have to pick some topics that relate to Germany...

Here's one:

The connection of WW II Germany to China today... (Olympics).

I'm referring to all the changes Germany made to be seen as a great country and the changes that China is making at this very moment. What are/were they trying to hide? <hmmm...>

I lived in Germany for a few years.  

a.  You can write on German culture as it relates to location within the country.  Think about the differences between north and south here in the US.

b. You can write about some of the more interesting cultural uniquely German types events.  Think Oktoberfest, Holiday traditions, and beer oh glorious beer.

c.  you could write about their style of government.  If I am not mistaken they are a socialist democracy.  you could contrast that with the US and point out some things that work well in Germany (health care, education) and things that don't.
