What are some large land snails native to the U.S.?

I would really like to have a pet land snail, but all non-natives are illegal. What are some native land snails that I could look into?

The Queen Crater Snail (Appalachina chilhoweensis) gets to be about 4cm wide and is pretty large for a north american land snail.
