Try a Malibu Rum and Coke or diet coke. You'll never taste the alcohol.

1. Tequila--doesn't burn, warms. Definitely use salt and lime.

2. Bacardi O--I can drink this out of the bottle (not that I recommend this)

3. Any kind of schnapps--you can drink it straight and it has a pretty high alcohol content (peach is best!)

Not cool. If you drink to get drunk, you have a problem. You put yourself at risk of being injured, arrested, or even sexually assaulted.

All straight booze is going to have a bit of burn but you'll notice that it generally tones down a lot with "top shelf" liquors.  I've also found that some booze drinks smoother when chilled while others go down easier warm but that's going to require trial and error.

So I don't think it has much to do with the type but more with the quality, invest a few extra dollars on a good bottle next time you stock up.  For my money I'd be getting some nice bourbon though, I like Woodford Reserve for easy to find good bourbon.
