I am going to london soon but i will almost be 18. Sadly that is just almost since my birthday isn't for another month of when i get there so i will still be 17. So does anyone know of any clubs or bars that would be possible to get into without having an 18 I.D.

Thanks!

  1. The YMCA run a club for 8 - 18 called the Tiger Club. They look after you whilst your parents are busy, they do face painting, rounders and happy clappy singing things.

  2. Most clubs will ask you to prove your age if they suspect you being under 21 (the law says you can buy alcohol at 18). The main reason for this is that the licensee can lose their licence to serve alcohol if they knowingly or had reason to believe that a person is under 18 at the time of the sale. Rest assured that all central London clubs will ask you to prove your age if there is any doubt to how old you are.

As for going into a club at the age of 17 without an adult with you (usually this will be someone of 21 or older some do allow people of 18 or older to supervise you). You will find that you may not get entry into a club if you don't have an adult with you. Some clubs will allow children of 14 or more to be in the children's room but these are few.

I am afraid it is a question of going through a search to try and locate the clubs that allow minors in. They are out there it is just a question of finding them.

Remember all clubs have got the right to refuse entry to anyone.

  3. You should be going to youth clubs or dance halls and not the kind of places that would let in underage males you definitely don't sound ready for London.Listen to your mum on this one.

  4. Strawberry Moons

    Pitcher and Piano

    Pussycats Nightclub

    (I think) Movida too.

I'd recommend Strawberry Moons and Movida !!

  5. Electric ballroom u should get into :)

  6. No, there aren't any. Clubs and bars serve alcohol and you are underage. Owners are too worried about losing their licences (and it's almost guaranteed they would do if they started allowing minors into their establishments.)

And, no, don't even contemplate trying to obtain a fake ID. Not only is that a criminal offence, the owner of the establishment will also be breaking the law if they were to admit you with a fake ID.

Unfortunately many clubs are upping the age limit to 21. Why are you going now (or before you're 18 at least)? Why not wait until your birthday and do it then so you *ARE* legal...?
