kinda of a stupid question, i know, i could just google it, but i can't really find that many places, and to be honest, i dont really feel up to looking that hard. haha.

its for a school project, and i just need 3 major german tourist attractions, i would think that the site of the berlin wall would be one (is there some sort of memorial to it there?), but i'm not sure.

i'm sure i sound really stupid asking this, but i just want to be sure. thanks. :]

  1. It depends in which region of Germany you would like to spend your holiday. Germany has lots to offer and the attempt to see all major sights of Germany in a week only leads to time struggle and stress. So you should pick up a region which seems to be the most interesting for you:

    For example....

    Bavaria:

Here you definitely should visit Munich (Frauenkirche, English Garden, Hofbräuhaus, German Museum, Stachus...). The famous Oktoberfest in Munich will start soon by the way (in one or two weeks). Then you also could visit the famous Bavarian lakes Chiemsee or Starnberger See and make also a short trip to the lovely Austrian city of Salzburg which is only about 90 kilometres away.

    Northern Germany:

If you do not like mountains you should give the North of Germany a chance: City of Hamburg with the famous port, the Frisian Islands, Sylt or the Baltic Sea.

    Rhine-Valley:

Or you make a trip from Frankfurt to Cologne, visit these two great cities (Frankfurt is especially famous for its unique skyscrapers, the tallest buildings in Germany and its old market square, the "Römer", whereas Cologne is mostly known for its famous "Dom"). Between this two big cities there is lots to see as well of course. Many very old castles at the Rhine River, the "Loreley" (a famous rock at the Rhine), then the cities of Mainz and Wiesbaden, the old towns Bingen (with its "Mäuseturm", "Mouse tower) or Rüdesheim.....

  2. Visit all the castles.  Neuschwanstein is the best.

  3. There are a lot of sights in Germany.

    Personally I would take:

    The Dom of Colonge

The Reichstag in Berlin (Home of the Bundestag)

The old City-hall of Munic at the Marienplatz.

    Natural Sights could be:

    The Externsteine,

    The Stubbenkammer on Rügen (chalk-cliffs)

The Loreley (a steep cliff at the rhine)

  4. Yeah, you sound pretty stupid and lazy asking this.  Just google "tourist sites in germany".  You'll find tons of things.
