  1. Some majors that easily incorporate study abroad:

    * business (especially international!)

    * any language

    * architecture (study foreign architecture and design)

    * sociology or anthropology (also psychology)

    * med-based majors (often pre-nursing, pre-med, pre-physical therapy, etc.)

    * education

    The nice thing about study abroad is that no matter your major, studying abroad makes you a more well-rounded individual. You're considered more worldly, experienced, and marketable by having worked with people of other languages, cultures, ages, races, etc. Some studies require it - I was a French major in college and was actually required to complete a study abroad program. I had no objections. :) I met people from all over the world who studied every subject imaginable - it's just a matter of fitting it into your schedule.

    However - if you go through a university, sometimes your locations are limited by your major. For example, at my school only business majors could study in Norway, but any student could study in Australia. It just happens that the universities my school worked with coordinated by major in some instances.

    Also, you can do international internships or work experience unrelated to actual study abroad. Check with your university (or future/hopeful university) online and/or in person to find what sort of international opportunities the school itself coordinates. You can always do private internships/work/studying, but that can be more difficult if you want to get credit for it.

    Good luck and have fun!

    Study abroad is AMAZING and worth every penny! :)

  2. Nursing.  My friend joined a nursing program she found out about at the university that allowed her to study in Spain and certified her as a nurse in like a zillion different countries.
