What are some math careers?

I'm going to be a sophomore in high school soon and i guess i should already have an idea of what i want to do with my life.

i don't.

i know i want to go to college but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

i love math.

I'm not sure i want to be a math teacher though...I'm pretty shy.

does anybody know of a math career that pays good?

  1. 90% of all technical jobs required a strong math background!!!  if you want to teach plan on it after 6 more years of schooling you will have lost your shyness!!!


  2. A coworker of mine's dad worked for Ford writing logarithms to make the airbags deploy.

    Math is used also in detecting earthquake activity.

    It's also used a lot in physics to discover more about our ever expanding universe :]

    I never excelled in math and I had never had much of an interest...but now I realize that anything involved with observing or doing something on this planet involves math. Do some research and there are some very interesting career paths.
