  1. India is the only country(among larger countries) where area under forests is actually rising it is a huge success  keeping in mind that India is a large and densely populated, developing country keeping a higher growth rate while achieving so(increase in forest area).Global warming is a global issue India is leading the developing countries from the forefront,by implementig some measures at home like

only CNG buses, autos for Delhi,Encouragement for Biofuels instead of fossils fuel,Unleaded fuel country wide etc.

  2. The prime Minister Manmohan singh has started a Climate council. It has 21 members mostly environmentalists,industrialists,ministe... will release its first report in June 2008.Dr R.K pachauri is one of its members. He by the way is also the chairman of IPCC (International panel on climate change).

The prime minister has said the Eleventh five year plan will have emphasis on climate and pollurtion control.

  3. I don't know that why some people are nuts while same question again and again.

Well! Tell me about the official proof issued by any government body or NASA or any other institute of any country that Global Warming exists.

Even scientists community is divided into two groups on this issue (You give me the name of one scientist who says that Global Warming exists, and in return I will give you the names of 5 scientists who says it doesn't exists).

Try to have some research on the matter using Google, and yes please also search for "Global Warming on other planets". Obiviously, there are no human on other planets to emmit gases.

Global warming is a natural phase of Earth, caused by some Solar Activities by Sun. We human don't have to bother about it. Some of the environmentalist says that this is because of the CO2 we are emitting into the environment, but the reality is that we are just contributing towards 1% to 10% of actual global warming.

If the actual cause of Global Warming is CO2 emitted by the humans then why Global Warming occures on other planets. Just Google for "Global Warming on other planets" and see the results, there are no humans on other planets.

Having too little CO2 in the environment will cause for the plants to die more early, more over it also cools down the temperature on earth.

Having too much CO2 (obiviously, not caused by humans. Mostly generated in the Sea/Oceans) will lead to Green House effect and will lead in increasing the temperature on Earth.

So, the best is to plant more trees so that there would be a balance for the consumption of CO2 on the planet.

I personally think that instead of thinking on this baseless issue try to think on what if Nuclear War broke out in the world, it will destroy Earth more rapidly.

  4. Remember what ever effort govt. does but the most important is FOR U to realise the degradation of environment....and it's TERRIFIC consequences. So the answer is within u'r mind ---just realise about the upcoming future or should i say the night marsh.....

  5. The first and the foremost measure is the implication of use of CNG in government buses.

Others are afforestation, reforestation and establishment of sanctuaries and national parks in isolated areas.

Moreover certain green belts have been declared by the Centre like the Taj Mahal Trapezium.

  6. lol!

  7. We feel that its not only Govt job to work against global warming. We also have to give our contribution. We have seen now a days the new genration does not understand the importance of Nature and Adventure. So they genor it and which leads to problems like global warming. We as Maitri Groups have thought of introducing Nature to the new genration by organising camps, treks, jungle walks, bird watching programmes.  If at all anybody is intersted please contact us on maitrigroups@yahoo.co.in or 9819203553

  8. India is one of the countries building new nuclear power plants.  Some people think these don't contribute to Global Warming, but that's wrong.  Fossil fuel usually powers the machinery that dig the ore out of the earth, the trucks that bring it to the refinery, then to the plant, and again when the waste is taken away.  It is better than coal, which is what is most often used.  We just have to save a little bit any where we can.
