What are some methods of cookery that still maintain optimum nutitional value?

i know steaming vegetables is one but i probably need more detail

  1. More detail?  Or do you mean more ideas?  Yes steaming keeps most of the nutritional value as long as they are not floating in the water.  Using them in soup should keep it too, since you eat the cooking liquid.


  2. try the Chinese version of cuking, also remember not to through away any water or stock from the veggies u boil. Chinese cukin uses lotsa veggies & they are mostly half cukd hence still storing a lot of nutrition in them. try  it....  

  3. Microwaves are good for vegetables, because it does the same job as steaming except quicker with the same taste and texture. What ever you do don't cook vegetables in water tho unless your planning on drinking that water because most vitamins and other nutrients are water soluble.
