Derek Jarman's inspired, metaphorically inflamed take on Christopher Marlowe's 14th-Century play is a visually gorgeous portrait of a British king as a g*y man, replete with creative anachronisms such as Annie Lennox singing Cole Porter. Tilda Swinton is positively feral as the good ruler's s*x-starved queen.
