Greek, biblical, anything. I'm trying to create characters for my project, and it would be nice if they have names with deep meanings.

  1. Cronus and Rhea, Hades and Persephone

  2. Eros (or Cupid) & Psyche are my favorite; who went on to have a daughter named Voluptas, meaning pleasure.

  3. Orpheus and Eurydice - the Greek myth about the musician Orpheus and his lover Eurydice who was killed by a snake bite. So he went to the underworld and played for Hades, who granted his wish that Eurydice be allowed to return to the land of the living, on the condition that he not look back to see her until he was out. (Of course, he look back.)

    Jason and Medea

    Paris and Helen

Pyramus and Thisbe - sort of the Romeo and Juliet of the ancient world. They were lovers who were forbidden to  marry, so they would speak to eachother through a hole in the wall adjoining their houses. They agreed to elope together, buy when Thisbe gets there she is scared away by a lion, and leaves her veil behind, which the lion tears and bloodies up. When Pyramus gets there he thinks she has been killed, so he kills himself. Thisbe returns, finds his body, and kills herself as well.
