These are just a few of the most popular pocket billiard games played and some of their alternate names.  Since the term "pocket billiards" is a substitute for "pool", technically snooker is not a pocket billiards game.  For a more complete listing, pick up a copy of the BCA Rules & Records Book.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

Here's a cool one to try;  3 ball.  Rack three balls in the normal triangle position.  Break as normal, any balls made stay down, then shoot the remaining balls into any pocket in any order.  With the break counting as one shot (unless you scratch), try to pocket every ball in 4 shots or less.  A scratch counts as two shots, but any ball made stays down.  After your turn the next player gets to shoot and record his score.  Sounds simple, but it is harder than it seems!
