What are some national or local anti child abuse organizations ? In Southern California ?

The other day I witnessed a child being abused in a parking lot, and out of a grocery store, it was such a sad thing because everyone else around was talking about it long after she left with the child.

Someone did manage to get her license plate but it was not clear what could actually be done at that point? We don't know of any anti child abuse organizations to work with ? In case it is her or some other incident ?
