  4. Deep Breathing for Energy

Begin by standing upright, emphasizing good posture by making sure your back is straight, but not rigid. Your shoulders should be relaxed, and feet a comfortable shoulder width apart. Abdominals should be lifted slightly to allow for full expansion of the chest, but not uncomfortably so. Palms should be at heart center in prayer position. If you are not doing the breathing exercises as part of a class, you can do them sitting at a desk, although it is preferable to stand, particularly when trying to increase energy. If this is not possible, try to sit up straight in your chair, shoulders relaxed, again emphasizing good posture.

Close your eyes, to help you concentrate solely on the physical act of breathing and to close out any external distractions. Take a deep breath inhale through the nose. Use a four second count when inhaling (count 1 one thousand, 2 one thousand...etc, if you must, until you catch on to the rhythm of the breathing.) Then, exhale out the nose for another four second count. Force the air out slightly if you must, so that your exhale is the same length as your inhale.

As you inhale, concentrate on feeling the chest and abdomen expand. Try to inhale as much oxygen as you can in the four second count, and exhale completely, again within the four second count. Once you have gotten the rhythm of breathing down, imagine yourself inhaling a pure ray of white light, of energy, as you inhale. Picture this energy filling your body, expanding from your chest to your fingertips, to your toes. As you exhale, imagine all the tiredness and sluggishness leaving your body. Continue breathing in this fashion until you feel a sense of renewed energy infuse your body.

  5. ATP stands for Adenosine Tri-Phosphate, and is the energy that the body uses in daily operations.

Creatine, Ribose, Carnitine, and Pyruvate are some products that increase ATP.

Careful though, if your intake is higher than what your body uses, you will just get fat.

    Best of luck!

  14. personally, i drink water regularly, and in the morning, one bowl of fruit gives you more than enough energy for a great morning.

  15. I am drinking this health drink which is comprised of 5 power herbs.  It is known to help people recover from most illnesses. IT provides people with the proper nitrients, thus, rejuvenate people.   It is even known to cure cancer.

  16. First, make sure you are drinking enough water.  Water is the number one deficiency in America today.  If you don't get enough, you will be fatigued easily.

The average person needs water at the following rate:

Take your total body weight and divide by 2.  That number is the amount of water in ounces that you need to drink each and everyday.  Along with that, you should consume 1/4 teaspoon of "air dried sea salt" in conjunction with each quart of water you drink.  This puts the electrolytes in your body that will give you proper hydration.  The typical white table salt you buy in stores like the Morton Salt, for instance, is terrible for you and has loads of chemicals added.  Avoid that junk.  If you drink ANY diuretic drinks like, sodas, coffee, tea, alcohol, commercially prepared fruit drinks, energy drinks, etc., these all dehydrate you and you will need to add more water to the total to compensate for the water loss due to these diuretic drinks.  Take the total ounces of the diuretic drinks and multiply by 1.5 and add that total to the original total to come up with the proper amount of water you need to drink each day.

Having said all that, the next thing to look at is your adrenal glands.  But, before doing that you need to make sure your blood sugar handling is good.  There is a great diet for getting the blood sugar under control and it removes all your cravings for bad food, etc. within 2 weeks and most people get a lot more energy and don't want to stop.

The right management of carbs, fats, and proteins is critical to creating good energy during the day.  If you are eating lots of grains as part of your carb percentage, you will have bad leptrin hormone management of your insulin and this will definitely create low energy issues.  Stay completely away from all SOY that is not fermented and especially foods that contain soy, like Kraft cheeses that put 30% soy in their "one day cheeses" in order to make it cheap.

    good luck to you

  17. Lots of Green Tea, it's a natual pick me up.

Rhodiola rosea is supposed to help too. From Wikepedia, the free encyclopedia: Rhodiola rosea may be effective for improving mood and alleviating depression. Pilot studies on human subjects[2][3][4] showed that it improves physical and mental performance, reduces fatigue, and minimizes high-altitude sickness.

I've been taking it, just to see if it works!

  18. A multi vitamin and herb called "Vitalert" You can buy it over the counter at Wal-Mart for about 10 bucks. The added bonus is it converts fats and carbs into energy. Drinking lots of water helps flush out toxins out of your body that drag you down and makes you ill. Other alternative is Green Tea. Eat lots of green leefy vegtables and fruit. Spinish salads and Banans are my favorite for energy. Meditate. close your eyes and relax. Think about your day and ask What good things happen today and what bad things happen today and what can I do tomarrow to make the bad things good. Catagorising your thoughts releives stress. Less stress brings on higher energy levels because it brings a sense of power and self control.
