What are some neat ways of editing photos using software other than Photoshop?

I love editing photos but when it comes to using the software that I have I don't know where to start. I know about all the simple editing things like the special effects, but I want to know some cool other ways that people use to edit their photos to make them look really interesting. Thank you so much!

Yeah sure softwares like Photoshop and Gimp ain't easy ^_^

I suggest you PhotoFiltre Studio 9. It's an easy-to-use software that is still able to do very interesting things. That's the one I personally use and I'm very satisfied with it.

That version is special because it's PORTABLE. It means that you don't need to slow down your computer with a new installation.. To sum up, you just need to download it and then to click on it to use it ! (You can even take it with you in your usb key ;)

A free alternative to PhotoShop is GIMP. While it is as powerful as PhotoShop, it's a bit harder to use. If you can't get your head around it, check some tutorials on YouTube:

try gimp or paint.net gimp i used before dont like it to much i prefer paint.net you can find it if u google paint.net
