What are some nice and AFFORDABLE hotels in Windsor?

Question

Going over for a 19th Birthday on labor day weekend and we need a nice hotel. We would like something affordable but nice because it is a 19th birthday!! Any one have any ideas from experience??

You need to book very soon for Labour Day weekend, because rates will start to go up near the end of this month, and will continue to rise throughout the summer.

The nicest downtown hotel is the Hilton.  Its actually the nicest hotel in Windsor... most of the other hotels, no matter where you go, are dumps.  

I'm assuming you're travelling with friends?  Two double beds overlooking the river (great view) is $169 per night for the weekend:

Split that between a few friends and it isn't bad, for a nice hotel that is right downtown, walking distance to all of the bars.

The Ramada downtown would be the only other one I'd recommend, it isn't nearly as nice as the Hilton, but it is right on Ouellette Ave. and you can walk to all of the bars.
