What are some of the alternative marketing methods?

Well, everyone uses the media: radio, billboards etc. But what are some of the alternative ways of marketing your company? (I am in the jewelry business).

I am not so sure if these would help since I move in a service business;

1. I contact the company or people that doing business which is possible to use services from my company and build relations to public.

By phone or send my company profile.

2. Sometimes, the advertisement goes by words from someone to other...naturally.

3. Make regular contact and follow up the prospect are must.

4. As you in a jewelry business, put something on to you from the collection, so people able to see it where ever you go.

5.make a joined exhibition, with fashion design, shops etc..

I would read the book 'Guerrilla Marketing' which are inexpensive, creative ways to marketing your product or service.  

Since your product can speak for itself, I would do everything you can to have a presence at high foot traffic events.  The internet may have more people but you will have more sales at an event that people can see and touch your jewelery.  A vendor space can be $50 - $500.
