You get cash back.

You also get cash back from other credit cards as well. Discover has lost market share to American Express.

They are working hard to regain their market share and have even reduce merchant fees (the fees stores pay to accept your Discover card). This brings the fees in line with Mastercard and Visa. American Express is still the most expensive card for a store to accept.

It depends on the card you qualify for.  They might advertise a Discover More card, but you might only qualify for their regular card with no cash rewards.
