  1. The Collector (Komornik)

I remember this film in London's cinemas.

If you live in UK just keep visiting this site:

    http://www.polishculture.org.uk/film.php

Also every April there is Polish Film Festival in London

  2. "Miś" ("Teddy Bear") - an absurd comedy from the communist period.

At one time topped the chart of IMDB Comedy of all times (now it's 5th).

    A cult movie in Poland.

  3. well depends  what kind of movie you like

im polish myself nad i dont like polish moves there arent a lot of good ones for me my favorites are:

    the pianist( pianista)

wielka mala milosc( thats the lates movie it was i think few months ago)

    wesele

    katyn

    poranek kojota

    stara basn

dublerzy ( thats my favorite comedy)

  4. I really liked "Czlowiek z Marmuru" (The Man of Marble), other than that I don't really know.

  5. Three Colors is definitely a fine trilogy of films. The Debt is also OK. Andrzej Wajda's movies are worth mentioning, but his older works (Kanał, Pokolenie, Popiół i diament) were much better than the new ones (Katyń). There are also some fine comedies (Miś, Vabank, Sami swoi), but the humokr in them tends to be rather local than universal, thus foreigners might have problems trying to understand what's so funny in them.

  6. Dług (the debt) is one of my favorites.

Also some Andrzej Wajda films are good (maybe too "heavy" sometimes).

We have lots of comedies, but they are not easy to understand for a foreigner I guess.

And btw, the Pianist is not a Polish film.
