For example car companies are being hit really hard by the recession because mostly people can either stick with the car they have or buy a less expensive model rather than say a BMW. Jobs in the medical field are still pretty hot (we get sick regardless of the economy). However recessions are a natural part of capitalist based economies and they are temporary so don't base your life around them.
